Safe Play

The essential ethic of all BDSM practice is mutual consent. To discipline without consent is assault and to carry out a sexual act without consent is rape. Silk Bound, does not condone any act that does not have the explicit consent of all parties.

Implied in consent is the responsibility of the dominant partner to monitor the well being of the submissive, to ensure that the submissive is stable and that the consent is still operative. It is also the responsibility of a dominant partner to ensure that the submissive is not consenting to an act that is not in his or her best interest.

Neither partner should indulge in heavy drinking, nor drug taking of any kind as this can impair judgment resulting in serious accidents.

Safe Words or signals are an essential part of all play activity. If the submissive uses the safe word or signal, usually “the word mercy”, then play must stop immediately. This word can vary between people and country and should be discussed between the parties prior to commencement.

Silk Bound does not condone bad behavior, illegal drugs, drunkenness or dangerous play, nor play between non consenting adults.
